Abstract:Review of 12 UK companies that tend to pollute the environment, related to ecological protection, and apparent disinterest of industry and government. Emission of polonium, acid-rain-linked sulphur emissions, waste containing heavy metals, dust in atmosphere, radioactively contaminated Irish Sea, mercury in a river, sewage dumping in North Sea, polluted plant site that discharged PCBs, fumes and dust deposits from a "smokeless fuel" plant, water pollution, air pollution, and waste dumping in Irish Sea. Details of the 12 companies, legislation, and UK Environmental Protection Agency are given.
