Abstract: | This article introduces the British Telecom development centres. These centres are being used in a new way in order to meet strategic business needs and a good system of training. Some of the issues discussed are: briefing, external consultants, the role of line managers, assessment, etc. It was found that development centres are accurate in predicting both the workplace performance and the training needs of the participants. |
