| Abstract: | In the course of its development St.Petersburg was drifting ever further away from the imagined ideal of a rational capital of a "regular state". By l83o the city was full of cultural and semiotic contrasts and it fueled an extraordinarily intensive cultural life. By the share number of texts, codes, associations and the volume of cultural memory accummulated in a historically very short period of time St.Petersburg can be considered a unique phenomenon of the world civilization. |
