| Abstract: | The article deals with the investigation of a cultural change process, making use of the historic perspective that includes an analysis of the social subjects that are constantly recreating themselves in the tourism arenas. The question of indigenous cultural authenticity is brought up as a relevant topic to be discussed. The case is the Pataxo Indians of Porto Seguro of Brazil. |
