Abstract:The role of music in marketing has received a lot of attention in recent years. The techniques of mass marketing, which is endemic in music, are spread from different forms to jazz and classical music. However a little has been examined and written about the fact how musicians think themselves about the marketing of what they considered to be art. This article interviews several musicians and asks their beliefs concerning the affects of modern marketing to classical music and jazz.
