Abstract:Cross-hierarchical interconnectivity (hereafter as: int-conn-y.) is a social process of alignment and transmission of previously separated pieces of knowledge. This study advocates that the management of int-conn-y. can contribute to organizational competitiveness, especially in terms of adaptability, innovation etc. Based on the parameters of mode, actor's culture, time, direction, type of knowledge, and medium, a portfolio of int-conn-y. is suggested and the core forms and mechanisms of int-conn-y. In addition, the specific culture of corporate executives and how it can be improved to encourage int-conn-y. is analyzed.
