| Abstract: | Influenced by the slowing down economic growth and more prominent contradiction between supply and demand on domestic market, the general price level in April continued to keep a downward trend. The country's retail prices and resident consumer prices were down 2.1% and 0.3% respectively over the same period of last year and down 0.8% over last month. The results of analyzing the price situation since the beginning of the year and relationship between supply and demand, considering at the same time, the influence of adjustment of macroeconomic policy on price situation show that the general levels of retail prices and resident consumer prices will always keep a downward trend at least before the fourth quarter of the year. |
