Abstract:In the first half of 1999, China's deflation was intensifying as the rate of economic growth glided. The deflation is a reflection of the contraction of macro economic economy. Since the current process of deflation is quickened, the falling trend of prices can not be reversed. If there is, however, no interference from outside, the scope of price-falling will be narrowed. In a short period, the factor influencing the price trend is the effective demand in the market and there is no growth sign of it at present.
