| Abstract: | In the marketplace of today's manufacturing industry, there is a fierce and competitive battle for survival. The key area of concern for most manufacturing facilities is cost reduction. Just-in-Time (JIT) is a manufacturing philosophy that can provide immediate and substantial inventory cost savings to insure a competitive edge. This article is a case study of how one company implemented and reaped the benefits of JIT. |
