| Abstract: | In current descriptions of manufacturing , integration is a prominent theme: computer integrated manufacturing, integrated product development, integrated logistics and many more. It is mot new as a concept, being previously used in expressions such as vertical and horizontal integration. Along with other current themes, acronyms, fads and consultancy products, we should question what integration implies in manufacturing and the wider domain. |
