Abstract:This article focuses on the ethics of executive stock options. Nowadays, few companies recognize the effect of external noise such as the overall return on the stock market in their executive compensation schemes. This can be seen as an ethical problem for executives and board of directors. In addition, there are ethical problems with the accounting principles related to executive stock options.
