Abstract: | The author is convinced that APL (A Programming Language) provides the operations researcher with an extremely useful tool. APL is a uniquely concise and eloquent language that is directly machine executable. It enables the researcher to use the computer not merely as a mighty number cruncher, but as a laboratory for developing mathematical concepts and problems. The APL is hardly known to the public, because it is so much ahead of its time. |
