Abstract:This contribution uses competitive theory to analyse the Swiss cotton yarn retailer and world market leader for organic cotton, Remei. Remei successfully started engaging with organic cotton in 1992 and used a specialist business approach. In contrast to conventional, anonymous cotton yarn retailing, Remei bases its business on long-term partnerships.
