Abstract:Recently government policymakers showed an interest in replacing mandatory environmental protection agency (EPA) programs with an innovative marketing oriented policy known as the 'Bubble'. This voluntary policy of alternatives offers market incentives to industries in exchange for finding better ways of reducing air pollution that can be provided by detailed environmental directives. Guided by the concept of ecological marketing, this article investigates the options toward the EPA policy, uncertainty regarding the policy , and the response of industrial marketers to policy uncertainty.
