| Abstract: | Bidding to join the Organisation for Economic Co-operation & Development (OECD), a club of wealthy nations, South Korea is beefing up its financial deregulation. An expectation of a soft landing for the economy will help the government to continue to liberalize the financial market. The OECD suggested in March that the Korean government reform the country's financial system to ensure close links between South Korea's segmented and isolated financial market and global financial centres, reports Lee. |
