Abstract:Today's human resource leaders must always consider the bigger picture. In marketing, the bigger picture is referred to as an extended enterprise approach. In this extended enterprise view of the world, the marketer must look beyond what customers say they want with the product or service. Applying the same approach in human resources results in developing a powerfully compelling strategy. One that focuses on the company's business, its customers, its customers' customers, its competitive challenges, its product or service characteristics, its financial objectives, and its major markets.
