Abstract: | The study deals with moral issues and dilemmas which managers must resolve and ethical education of managers as a lifespan process. It was found that different emphases in the approach to management education and development, including self-knowledge, may be required at different points in an individual's life. Moral reasoning ability is likely to be restricted and ineffective if there is no development of other moral attributes (cognitive skills, personal and interpersonal skills and qualities, self-knowledge). Conversely, an unwillingness to 'see' the ethical side of situation inhibits the development of personal moral integrity, assertiveness and strength of will. A 'balanced' approach to the provision of moral education for management is proposed. |
