Abstract:Clear-cut project objectives are generally demanded from project management and the once set goals should never be changed. However, this is often quationed, especially in the projects of innovation. The goal setting process is based on specific assumptions on conditions and alternatives. However, as soon as these assumptions change and are unrealistic, it is unreasonable to stick to the original objectives. The case of Grosse Windenergie Anlage (Big Wind Energy Equipment) proves the negative effects of a rigid goal setting process but illustrates some approaches to the flexibization of this process as well.
