Abstract:Tom Sheridan concludes his series on the finance function in international companies by comparing and contrasting the approach of British and continental multinationals to management accounting and financial management. The different national financial cultures underlie the different national approaches to financial management. The British is a financially oriented view. The article is concentrated on German attitudes. Germany is by far the biggest economy on the continent and German attitudes are dramatically different from anglophone ones.
