| Abstract: | China's cellular phone providers signed up more than two million new subscribers in 1995, making the PRC the world's fourth-largest cellular market. Trailing only the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom, China now boasts over four million cellular subscribers. A projected five-fold increase in cellular subscibers and estimates of nearly 20 million subscribers by the end of the decade have made China a particularly promising market for sales of cellular equipment. |
