| Abstract: | An enthusiasm to create the means of supporting small business development is a common feature of the political landscape in the UK and western Europe. This paper argues that the effectiveness of various dimensions of tourism policy would be enhanced if more attention were given to understanding a currently neglected sector of the industry: small business. |
