Abstract:This paper provides graphs and figures, regarding main trends in Internet development. There are graphs presenting the number of Internet users in different regions, and the figures of world population online. The paper provides the information about initial public offerings, proceeds of initial public offerings, merger and acquisition transactions and venture capital investments by industry, including Internet services. There is the graph showing the percentage of U.S. Web sites with translation (by languages) and the percentage of Internet users worldwide by languages. The paper states that the number of Internet users in Asia is expected to increase 422% to 228 million people by the year 2005.
