Abstract:A detailed description of a method of aggregation of utility values that provides realistic average values that are easily understood by management. The method is illustrated by a survey of prospective importers. The review covers extant literature, survey objectives, modal and overall utility values, cost/revenue generation, under/over provision, majority utility vs. minority disutility, and the utility range as an alternative method.
