| Abstract: | Some years ago about 10,000 pirate stations operated in Holland causing sometimes serious problems to emergency services, airports and cable systems using their frequencies. Besides they obtained a great deal of advertising at the expense of other media. As a result of severe fines the number of illegal stations decreased to one-fifth or so. |
