| Abstract: | It is sometimes suggested that the economies in the so-called countries under transition face the problems rather similar in aspect; those countries are thought to differ, if at all, by a lag of the "unsuccessful reformers" behind the "successful" ones. This does not seem to be so, as revealed by the comparison of "problem profiles" of Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Hungary. All four belong among the successful reformers. |
