| Abstract: | The economic growth rate in 1998 can approach or reach 8 percent and foreign exports will come up to 320 billion yuan. The focal points in 1999 are: to optimize agricultural production structure and try to increase farmers' income; to continuously accelerate the investment in fixed assets and strive to open up urban and rural markets; to further reform and restructure the SOEs; to strengthen taxation and prevent financial risk; further open up international market to stabilize the utilization of foreign capital. |
