Abstract:Entrepreneurship is a popular topic among policy makers and the public. It is critical to measure real progress of entrepreneurship policies. There is not an international standard of measuring the entrepreneurship in a specific country. This study presents a Danish approach for the matter. The model has three essential components: 1) a framework for the entrepreneurship process, 2) methodology that relates policies to factors affecting entrepreneurship and allows comparisons and, 3) Government objectives described quantifiably. In the future, it is possible that a global method for measuring entrepreneurship is developed, the study argues.
