Abstract: | There's much talk about Poland's economic boom. But the real debate should be about its economic problems, if EU membership is to be more than a pipedream. Poland is lauded as Central Europe's tiger economy, despite having a group of squabbling alley cats for a government. The accolade was one on the back of steadily falling inflation, an influx of foreign investment and economic growth averaging 6% for the past three years. Remarkable, considering it's had seven governments of varying complexion in as many years. |
