Abstract: | Central Europe has a good education system. But it faces two problems: redesigning it for a market economy and maintaining standards in the face of limited funds. Central Europeans love boasting about their education systems. The region's literacy rates are among the highest in the world. They have produced a crop of famous writers and Nobel prize-winning scientists. One Hungarian scientist even claims to have cloned a sheep long before Scots cloned Dolly. |
