Abstract: | Central Europe is still losing out in the global battle for foreign investment. Changing that requires more than just clever workers. Its rivals are widespread. Globally, Central Europe is competing largely against developing regions like South-East Asia and Latin America. Luckily for Central Europe, the competition with Asia is not necessarily direct. Companies as big as America's General Electric are quite likely to invest in several regions. Smaller ones are likely to branch out into their neighbors. |
