Abstract:Bold, self-confident, and demanding, alpha males (hereafter as: a-males) get things done. But the traits that make them so productive can also drive their co-workers crazy. This article focuses on a-males, males with strong personalities leading large organizations. A-males require skilled coaches, and co-workers must be included in the coaching process. To change, a-males must become more aware of their own motivations, more open to their peers' contrary opinions, and more comfortable with public challenge.
