| Abstract: | This focused issue investigates the role of headquarters in modern multinational corporations (MNCs). It is examined how headquarters add value, which roles they play and how existing theory needs varying because of recent developments. It is claimed that headquarters still play an important role in the MNC. In addition, the possibility of the conceptualization of headquarters as a distinct organizational entity is highlighted. |
