Abstract: | This article examines consultancy as a cause of dependency. Clients might develop a dependency on their consultants, and that consultants foment such a relationship in their business interest. Examining the case of Britain, this article shows that the potential dangers of consultancy interventions did not play any role in the public policy towards the consulting industry. |
