Abstract:A pictorial timeline is shown highlighting some of the glorious and the not so glorious moments in the past 100 years of American business. It starts in 1903 with the organization of Ford Motor Co, and ends in 1990 by declaring the end of Cold War by NATO ministers. Some key points are: Wall Street crash /1929/, World War 2 brings economic boom /1939-45/, AT&T is the first corporation to have more than 1 million shareholders /1951/, recession /1957-68/, USA average per capita income hits USD 2218 /1960/, worst recession since the 30s /1973-74/, Gorbachev starts perestroika /1985/, Mitsubishi buys major share in Rockefeller Center /1989/.
