| Abstract: | In 1984 the Post Office underwent rapid change and they discovered that many supervisors were highly competent and motivated through their own efforts. They decided to launch a programme of self-organised learning based on the principles of Brunel University. Despite certain scepticism it is shown that the programme is capable of bringing about improvement. It is also recognised that the role of coach in following up training into practical applications is crucial to the whole exercise. |
