| Abstract: | This article reports on the rapid expansion plans of the Gulf's main carrier airlines such as Emirates, Gulf Air, and Qatar Airways. Based on the estimate for future economic growth in the area and airlines' investment planning, the airline fleets in the Gulf will nearly treble in size within less than a decade. It is examined whether the growth plans of these airlines are sustainable and realistic. |
