Abstract: | Reasons for corporate social responsibility (CSR) and results of CSR remain unclear. This article analyzes a leading retail company in order to answer whether managers are naturally oriented toward societal actions. This paper studies managerial perceptions regarding the importance and the performance of CSR in relation to other management factors. The result indicates that the perceived importance of CSR is only fair compared to other management factors, but its high performance makes it a core resource for the company. |
