JUST-IN-TIME PRODUCTION

Abstract:Just-in-time development and production mean to provide the adequate product in the corresponding functionality at the acceptable price on the right market. Such processes are often described by catchwords such as time to market, simultaneous engineering, and concurrent engineering. It is the goal of such processes to gain competitive advantages by shortening and streamlining production cycles. Unfortunately, the potential of these techniques is fully exhausted. In order to remain innovative , the company has to fundamentaly alter its strategy by complete reorganization of its project management approach to innovation and optimize the three critical success factors of project management: time, costs and quality.
