| Abstract: | This article introduces quantitative techniques for graphic design. The aim of the study is to define techniques for quantifying the simplification of graphics and also to develop rules for systematic graphic simplification. Four graphic simplification methods are presented for quantifying and rationally analysing graphics: grid simplification method, node reduction method, geon reduction method, and blur method. |
