| Abstract: | Thanks to electronic data processing and ultramodern telecommunication equipment , international just-in-time manufacturing (JIT) is now already feasible theoretically. However, without reciprocal matching of all components and internal homogeneity, JIT manufacturing is not possible even locally. The European single market promises the falling of regional barriers. It is shown how an international JIT manufacturing can be approached in a progressive manner. Some fundamental control concepts are defined. The method of strategic optimization of logistic chains is described. The main characteristics of a logistics management system and a logistic controlling system are highlighted. |
