| Abstract: | Concentrating on Spanish and Italian regions, this article investigates the effect of tourism to the economic growth. Both international and domestic tourism, and the geographical location criteria are taken into account. Using dynamic panel data techniques, the author shows that both international and domestic tourism have a positive influence on economic growth. However, the pattern of these effects depends on the type of the region. |
