| Abstract: | Large-scale enterprises are important strength to promote economic growth. However, the scale and strength of our enterprises far behind the world level and thus the benefits of scale are difficult to be realized, which constraints the kernel role of scale in our development of national economy. Under the current condition of socialist market economy, the great significance of carrying out the strategy of economies of scale lies in the fact that it is the requirement of the healthy development of modern market economy to construct economies of scale. To catch up with and surpass the advanced countries, faced with fierce competition on international market, it is absolutely necessary to carry out the strategy of economies of scale. An important way to form economies of scale is merger of enterprises. |
