Abstract:The study examines the consumption of the dark tourism. Specifically the aim is to explore death and its contemplation in contemporary societies as a basis for developing a model of dark tourism consumption within a thanatological framework. The study was made analysing the consumption of dark tourism and located it within the framework as a basis for further theoretical and empirical analysis of dark tourism. The findings reveal that consumption of dark tourism can help individuals, within a social structure to, to address issues of personal meaningfulness.
