| Abstract: | Scholarly research is generally conducted at a single level of analysis (the individual, the group or the organization level), although it often turns to the next-lower level for explanatory mechanisms. The author of this paper suggests that robust understanding of social and organizational dynamics requires attention to higher as well as lower levels of analysis. |
