| Abstract: | The article is a shortened version of the 1996 ESBS prize winning paper. It examines the divergence btw. the prescribed and assumed models of entrepreneurial behaviour provided by contemporary management theorists and the real, observed and reported behaviour of small business owner-managers and practitioners. The paper uses case study examples. |
