| Abstract: | Being a major source from which China import technology and equipments and an important market for China's exporting goods, Europe is China's significant trade partner. Among the top 10 largest trade partners, 4 are European countries. In 1993, the bilateral trade volume reached $40.4 billion, up 43.4% over last year. The problems to be solved urgently in bilateral economic and trade relations are: The European Union still regards China as "state-run trade nation"; The anti-dumping surveys on China's exports are more and more rather than less and less; The undesirable products or the prices not competitive in some countries have created difficulties for China to increase imports. |
