| Abstract: | From Jan. to Nov., 1994, the trade volume of China's direct import from and export to Western Asian and African countries stood at US$4.9 billion, up 14% over the same period last year. The trade between China and the southern Africa and Middle East area has increased greatly with average growth rate of total import and export volume exceeding 15%. China's imports and exports in this area only account for 1-2% of the total foreign trade volume in this area. So China should make great efforts to develop China's economic and trade relations with this area. |
