| Abstract: | Like China, Brazil is reforming and imposing restrictions on trade protectionism and tariff barriers. The similar economic opening- up accounts for the mutual contact between Brazil and China. In 1994, the volume of trade between the two countries totalled US dollar 1.4 billion, making up one third of China's trade with Latin-American countries. Although the volume of bilateral trade rise by approximately 40% in 1995, it has not reached the expected level for there is tremendous potential in economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. |
