Abstract: | Chile believes that Asia-the Pacific region is one of the most important region in determining the future of the world in the new era. Two-thirds of Chile's export goes to the member countries of the Organization for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. China imports from Chile raw materials for processing, especially copper, pulp and fish meal. The increase of income of the Chinese will lead to an increasing demand for Chile-made food. Meanwhile, Chile has markets for China's processing industry, being the most advantageous "entrance"of Chinese products to South-American markets. At present, the volume of bilateral trade amounts to US dollar 500 million only. So there is huge market potential. |
