| Abstract: | The trade between mainland and Hong Kong occupies an important position in China's foreign trade. For many years, its proportion in China's total export has taken an upward trend. By 1993, the mainland's export to Hong Kong made up 40.03% of its total export, including entrepot trade and its import from Hong Kong accounted for 26% of its total import. In 1994, the mainland's import and export trade with Hong Kong accounted for 17.7% of its total import and export, excluding entrepot trade. Among it, its export to Hong Kong made up 26.7% of its total export and its import from Hong Kong 8.17% of its total import. |
